RoboTM Cast Polyester, Orthopaedic Casting Tape has a 100% polyester substrate which features multi-directional stretch for enhanced conformability and durability. The substrate is impregnated with water-activated resin which will set in approximately 3~5 minutes and be weight-bearing in approximately 20~30 minutes.

A cast made from this material is more rigid and up to 5 times lighter than an equivalent cast made using conventional Plaster of Paris casting tape and has the added advantage of being moisture resistant and permeable to water vapour.

RoboTM Soft Polyester, Orthopaedic Casting Tape has the same properties as RoboTM Cast Polyester but remains flexible when set, allowing "Micro Motion" of the joints. This makes it particularly suitable for use in Serial or Secondary  Casting and treatment of athletic injuries where a certain amount of joint movement is desirable. The degree of flexibility is controlled by the number of layers of cast material applied.
